That's the post I read before buying it for the first time. Hands down, best amp I've ever used or heard of. Does a legit 3kW on a 12v setup for $450. You simply can't beat that. That's why I will continue to use it in the future, regardless of haterz.Ok guys, here it is. Depending on your battery set up this amp will make an ungodly amount of power. With a 12volt battery set up dropping to 11.5 volts the Crunch GP3000D Pro made 2850 watts at a 1.03 ohm reactive. That's 4 12volt batteries. If you can get the voltage up the amp will make much more. By just starting the car and using the high amp alternator (starting at 16.1 volts and dropping to 12.3volts), the 3000 made 3732 watts. That's crazy isn't it. THAT'S NOTHING! I hooked it up to a 16volt battery set up and it just went crazy! With the battery voltage dropping to 15.7 volts with a 1.4 ohm reactive this monster made 4640 usable watts. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT!http://audioforum.termpro.com/topic/20/13407/2.html

junk huh?
Could you compare the performance of the old GP3000D-Pros to the new equivalent? I'm just hesitant because of the new glamor of them. Are they of the same caliber?im selling my 2 ab 500.1 to run 4 of the new gpv3000 pros thats how i feel about them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Awesome. As long as they are still 450-ish I will be buying them up like candy and telling my friends to do the same. It's my absolute favorite big amp EVA!the new amp shippment are on the way they have improved the amp for daily use its said to be better the price i was told will remain the same the new gpv 3000s will be here in june sometime A few key changes from the GP3000D-Pro are as follows:-angled mounted mosfets which hold up better through severe vibration over the previous 90 degree mounting method.
-thicker PCB
-thicker copper traces
-newest driver card
-improved heatsink design
i don't question the power, more so the techniques used, and sq as well as reliability.. simply put i dare you to do a drop in test aginst a rd 3250/saz3000. like i said call it hate what ever you want.. search a couple forums.. u get what you pay 4...we got 3200w at .7 from each gd 3000 pro on a daily set up
Those CDTs sure were a bargain, eh?to avoid and where SQ and reliability is upmost importance... fact is if you send that amp to a 3rd party, you going to see much lower DF SN etc.. why not pay 100 bucks more and get better equipment? Im all about deal, and all about bargins.. trust me.. if you can get 2500 @ 13 volts after 2 seconds of play measureing with good DMMs its a decent amp, fact is you going to barely get a true contunious 2500 under normal operiting conditions with not neary as clean a signal... sorry but electronics aren't cheap you get what you pay for, and the GP isn't bad budget stuff, but its certinally no better than anything else maxxsonics.. i used the 2500 knowing that the pro is a upgrade i would still grad the cadence ANY GIVEN DAY...
i said for the money i would simply send more bones and get a better quatitly amp... care to answer my question? it simple and should be worded specifically...lol i a nuclear engeering electricians mate. and can say i haven't seen or heard anything bad about the gp300d's. and have heard they are lil power houses.
you may be an "industrial electrician" but my country trusts me enough to work on some very expensive equipment that is high voltage and is important to running a reactor. it takes much more knowledge than what you have papermaker as you have made obvious.
so chill the eff out. if the guy wants a gp3000d all the more power to him. suggestions for an equally capable or potentially better amp i am sure are welcome.
i hate um..hangs head.. next sets going to be alot better.. still tring to find decent midranges.. i think im grab a pair of vifa soft domes... im having a hard time finding mids.. my door panel is 1/2 birtch so mounting options are nearly limitless.. i have around 1cube for the midbass/range... im having a hard time finding 4ohm drivers... they soung great on some recordings admittingly..Those CDTs sure were a bargain, eh?
