4 Gauge wire won't fit into my KnuKonceptz fuse that came with the kit!

I'm trying to hook up my new system but the 4 gauge power wire won't fit into the fuse that came with the KnuKonceptz KCA Complete 4 Gauge Amp Installation Kit, I am using the blue wire that came with it, and it won't fit!!

I took the plastic shield off it and also the rubber ring around the mouth of the fuse, as well as the screw that holds it in place, and it still wouldn't fit. I ended up taking the metal ring that makes the connection out of the fuse and opening it up wider, stuffing most of the wire into it, and closing it as much as I could (although quite a bit of wire still stuck out of the ring because ITS TO SMALL!), and I STILL COULDN'T MAKE IT FIT!

Eventually I had to take a razor to the nice wire and make it smaller, and once it fit, I CAN'T FIT THE SCREW BACK IN!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif

I'm really pissed off right now because I am supposed to chill with some friends tomorrow night and I wanted to have my system working by then.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/plthumbsdown.gif.d7966af824c93c6021d1aae1778b1c19.gif

Please help!

KNU is huge. I hate having to cut wire to fit it where it's supposed to fit.

Take your pocket knife and "whittle" all the way around the wire. Basically just scraping it. Like you would sharpen a pencil with a pocketknife. It just takes off a few strands and it straightens it out really well. Twist it a bit and then spin it into the fuse holder. That shoudl do it.

Edit: did you remove that gold piece from the barrel of the fuse holder? That's for if you're using 8awg wire.

It wont matter if you shave some off... Im going to make a thread with the method I use so your wire wont spread out its simple but I dont think a lot of guys think of it...
I'd like to see this b/c trying to fit RF zero gauge into zero gauge lugs is a pain. I've tried everything from twisting it to cutting off strands.
