4 gauge on 130a ho alt?

I know its best to do it with 0 gauge, but I really don't have anything but 4 gauge wires and 4 gauge ring terminals laying around. So I'm gonna use that for now. What fuse size am I suppose to use when going from the batteries + to the alt? I have a 200a anl fuse laying around, would that be good?

thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

EDIT: Oh yeah, do I leave the old wires connected or should I disconnect them?

200amp fuse is too big for 4gauge wire...the wire is rated for about 125amp fuse...using something that much bigger is not a good idea...if something bad happens the fuse may not blow and you'll have a nice little fire on your hands.
