Installing AVH-P6600

I plan on installing the pioneer avh-p6600 in a Chevy Tahoe 2004. I have the processor as well as the ipod hook-up - what I really want to know is if I will have to install a new amp and new speakers or will they be able to be used with this HU?

Just so the next person who asks - they have a module that can be bought for about $100 and you will be able to utilize the factory speakers.

I sure am glad this is a free board...

All right so I picked up the module from Best Buy last night for my truck DMOS-04. I was talking to the installer there about grounding out to use the nav while moving, he said to be very careful as he got a $350 fine from county police for watching it while driving. D@mn that is expensive.

He also mentioned about the blue/white stripped wire needing to be connected as well. I thought that was the remote on??? Does anyone have any info on this?

Kewl, glad you enjoyed it...

I am assuming that this remote turn on is needed in order to turn the factory amps on...since I will be using the OEM Bose speakers. Off of this I will then run to a relay switch and branch off of this two remote wires; one for each amp.

I am trying to figure out in my head a way to run a relay for the e-brake so incase I do get pulled over and they want me to press/depress the e-brake I have a way to make it legit and also bypass it. any ideas???
