4 component speakers to a 2 channel amp

Hi. i was wondering if it was possible to wire 4 component speakers that are 4ohms to a 2 channel amp. the amp is a crossfire cfa402. i had i laying around and thought it would be nice to use instead of buying another one. I was thinking you can but i have never hooked up components before, and didnt know if you could run them in series or not. i was thinking to run front and reaer on drivers side in series together, then to one side of the amp then the same on passanger to the other side of the amp.

What do you mean by "4 component speakers?" Do you mean 2 sets of components, i.e. 4 midranges and 4 tweeters with crossovers or 1 set of components, i.e. 2 tweets and 2 midranges with crossovers?

two sets of components. 4 mid bass and 4 tweets with 4 crossovers

As long as the amp is 2 ohm stable in stereo and you don't mind not being able to fade from front to rear no problem at all.

so would you take a positive from one to the negative on the other and positive on one to amp and negative on one to amp. for one set then do the same for the other set.

No, just parallel them. + to + - to - for the right side and do the same on the left side.

Both right's together and both left's together.

if i parrellel them it would be 1 ohm right 4 ohm + 4ohm makes 2ohm on one side then the same way on the other side wich makes 2ohm on one channel and 2 ohm on the other doesnt that turn into 1ohm or would it only be 1 ohm if i bridged it. thanks again

unbridged, each channel is its own entitiy and has its own load on it. Wire the channel to a 2 ohm load and the channel is seeing a 2 ohm load. It doesn't matter what the other channel is loaded to.

When you bridge the amp, each channel sees effectively half the bridged load. So if you were to bridge the amp into a 4 ohm load, each channel would see a 2 ohm load.
