4 channel amp

nevermind...just went and bought the MB Quart 4125...I was wondering my front speakers are rated at 60 watts...and my rears at 100 watts...so I was wondering do you think the Pioneers can take double the power??? I was going to make sure to set the high pass for the fronts around 1khz or so also.... My old amp was doing 100 watts to them for about a year now with no problem so u guys think the extra 25 will be to much???

bump...can someone just answer my question about the power handling???? I just wanna know if I should try giving my pioneers the 125watts or not....

Shouldnt be a problem, just keep your gain levels to a minimum
Keep them to a minimum????? But my question was asking if it would be ok to give the Pioneers the full 125watts on a high pass filter that would cut out all the lows to keep the speakers from blowing. I was asking would giving the pioneers double the power even on a high pass filter cause problems for the speakers in the long run?????? I know that the speakers wouldnt be getting the 125watts though all the time because I dont listen to my music at full volume but I just wanted to know if I can still set the gains to that point...

Yeah, 1k hz is nowhere near ideal for your front stage lol. The most generic starting point for the HP crossover for your components would be 80hz, and having your sub play everything below 80hz. Most people choose a range between 60-120hz, depending in your goals and your personal taste. Here's a generic answer for the crossover settings on your amps:

Set your Sub lowpass filter to 80hz

Set your 4-channel highpass filter to 80hz.

You can also use your headunit to set the highpass filter for your speakers instead of using the amp's crossover (if it has the option to do so). If you decide to use the headunit to set the HPF, make sure you turn the dial on the amp to the lowest frequency setting it will go, i.e. set the HPF on your amp to 60hz, and set the HPF on your headunit to 80hz.

Well installed the amp this morning and I really like the way it sounds...had a mean machine 100.4 before this but it had got stolen but quality def sounds better and its def louder....Pioneers are taking the extra 65 watts like a champ as well. I honestly like this amp better than the RAA4200 that I had... I am selling it as well if anyone wants it(got blown front channels though)
