Autotek?

I'm not a pro at car audio by any means, and i was wondering how this brand was.

Are they like Lanzar and Pyle and that kind of shit, or are they a reputable, good quality brand?

i found a SM1-1500 on craigslist for 75 dollars and was wondering on if you guys think its a dope deal or not.

They will give you about hallf the max power. They are good budget amps. LANZAR is shitty with all their lines but opti.

I personally own the Autotek mean machine series amplifiers and they easily put out rated power if not more on even better electrical.

not all of them are crap fyi

Autotek is currently owned by Maxxsonics. The Mean Machine series is good, does rated, but the other lines are a bit questionable.

I had a mean machine 4000. running 2 18" re mt's at 1 ohm daily.... it held up fine.. obviously wasnt pushing them to their limits but only because those woofers can take a beating. lol.. Autotek is a good brand but i wouldnt go with anything other than the older mean machine models.... you can contact maxxonics and they have refurbished mean machines in stock for a pretty good price.. but i would do it soon before they run out.

i currently run a mm1-1500d, and i love it. does rated, and its clean. there is however a huge price jump from the street machine to the mean machine series from what ive seen

yea I had a 4 channel Mean Machine...one of the older ones it was good when it worked had to return one back to maxxsonics cuz the board was messed up on it and the 2nd one got stolen so hey....still good products I got the MB Quart DSC4125 now which looks almost identical to my mean machine but sounds like Im getting more watts with my MB though...
