I will be wiring up my first 4 channel amp this week/weekend and I need a little help on which way I should wire this thing up...equipment as follows:

head unit- Pioneer deh-p6700mp

4 channel amp- Profile ap1040

front spkrs- Infinity 682.9cf

rear spkrs- cheap sonys (6x8)

tweeters- cheap no names

Ok below is a diagram of how I plan on wiring it....

My question is, should I wire it like I have, shown above, or should I get the rear signal from the head unit speaker wires and use a LOC off of them to run rca's to the amp?

The other question I have is, How would I wire in the tweeters? I have never had to wire tweeters in, so I am unsure of how to do it.

ANY help/tips will be greatly appreciated...

thanks

To be honest I would run the 4 channel in bridged for the front speakers and have no rears. IMO it sounds much better without rears and also you will not have to worry about 2 sets of rca's. Your are not going to have fading ability, but i see that you have 2 sets of outputs why are you not using both? are pioneers one sub out and one regular out?

i can't bridge the front speakers as they are 2 ohm....they will have 125 rms on each one, and they are rated at 100 rms.

the sub preout is being used and i only have the front on the unit...it doesnt have rear preouts.

So you turn the dial that says gain down and that will turn down how much power the speakers get. If you need more help let me know.
what i was saying is you CANNOT bridge a 2 ohm speaker with this amp...i know how to set the gain

i will just use the front channel preouts for both front and rear speakers and not have any fading ability...
