Heyy, well I have a problem with my component amp. I have my door's and my rear speakers going to this amp. the problem I have is every now and then when i turn the music up loud, the component amp shuts off (no going into protection mode) just goes off all the way...and when this happens the bass that comes from my sub amp sounds weak. I'm not sure what the problem could be. could it be overheating? or would a bigger gauge wire going into the amp be a problem? or what? Any suggestions...thanks for the help

We need more specifics please.

What kind of amps?

How are the gains set to deliver what kind of power to each speaker and sub?

What gauge power and ground wire are being used?

Well it's for my doors and 6x9's and it's probably putting about 100 watts into each channel. the gain's are set about 1/3 up. Uhm, it has 4 gauge wires going into the power and ground.

And your sub amp? How much power is it feeding to your sub stage?

well i'm under powering my subs cuz they say they are 1500 watts rms for each sub, but i know i'm not getting that much, i'd say probably 800 watts rms so 1600 total for both.
