4 Audiobahn amps

You Dumb Bastard...
I am thinking of running 4 Audiobahn amps... 2 A8000Ts, and 2 A8002Ts to my Orion H2s. I wanted amps that would look the same, put out about the same for my two different VC setup subs. Anybody have either of these for sale, or anybody have experience with these amps. Yes I am sure there are better amps out there, and Audiobahn is crap and the chrome sucks etc.

I can get one for 145! That is 1600RMS to each of my subs, and the amps look the same which is good because I have two different VC configurations. 650 for them shipped isnt bad, and I have heard good things about these little amps. They have fans built in to cool them and they look pretty good. I dont care for the flames.

They have fans built in to cool them
Which, unless they've redesigned the amps (which I doubt), those fans are nothing but a novelty item. Here is what CA&E Magazine said about their fans:

"While the fan is relatively large, 80 x 80 x 25 mm, it is unclear how effective it can be since it draws air in from the top of the unit and exhausts straight to the bottom of the case. There appears to be little in the way of airflow management, where there would be some means of ensuring that the cool air actually flows over the heatsink fins"

Also, the crossovers were wickedly horrible, which can and does affect sound quality

I would run external crossovers anyways, I have never had good luck with audiobahn crossovers, my 1500HCXs crossover was broken, but hey it cost 128 shipped! I also would just put tape or something over the hole in the bottom

Audiobahn Isn't All Crap. I Would Go For The "hct" Series Amps To Run Your H2's. More Bang For Your Buck. Little More Money But You Won't Be Disappointed. Though Your Choices Will Work Fine. My Wife Runs 2 A2300hct's On 4 Lanzar Opti1232d's. Let Me Just Say "freakishly Clean N' Loud". Good Luck On Your Hunt.

I have used both the A8000T and the A8002T and they're decent budget amps. They don't put out their rated power but they're not horrendous. I've pushed mine for over two hours at full tilt and it never overheated or malfunctioned so I can't complain. If you're interested in buying the A8002T, PM me. I'll let it go for around $100 or so.
