First off, let me say that I've been looking for amps for nearly 2 weeks straight. Ebay, classifieds, websites, you name it.

Here's the requirments:

Must be Class D

Small size is HUGE plus

At least 300x1 @ 4ohms OR 1ohm (preferably around 500x1)

I've got 4 amps picked out and can't make my final choice without some help. I've never actually used any of these amps, nor have I used a Class D mono block before. I have plenty of experience with class A/B 2-channel and 4-channel amps, but want something more efficient for my subs.

Here's the 4 I have picked out. If you know of any other amps on the same price plane (sub $200.00 on Ebay) feel free to toss that in too.

1) Memphis 16-PRD500.1

2) Kendwood Excelon KAC-X10D

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5287

3) Cadence TXA-750D

4) Eclipse XA2000

I am really leaning towards the Memphis right now. I've only heard great things about Memphis amps and really would like to try one. Also the smaller size is most definitely a plus. I want this thing to at least fit on my amp rack. I was set on getting the Cadence, but after checking out some other brands, I want to keep my options open. However, the Cadence is the cheapest and puts out more wattage than the Memphis. If it's not worth paying the extra for the Memphis, do tell.

4 years on this site, and you still can't make a determination of your own? WTF?

Way to be helpful.

I was asking for advice. As I've said, I've never used any amps of this type before. I've done plenty of searches trust me. Just hoping for first hand experience from some one. No need to be an *** about it.

looking at the prices I'd say go to http://www.audioque.com and check out the AQ1200D. I believes its $249 and does 500x1@4ohms. If you ever want to changes subs you would also have a good amp that would do 1200@1. And not to mention it's only a couple inches bigger then the memphis. I believe it would be worth it to spend the little extra money...

If you are set on one of the amp's you listed, I personally would go with the Memphis. I loved my old Memphis amps.

I would go with the older ST or MC versions of Memphis only. I love both of those lines and internally they are really the same amps.

I would stay away from the MCA, PR and whatever came after that. I think their newest stuff is the weakest so far BTW. and I really really love me some memphis! lol

get a st-16 1000d or a MC1000d

RMS Power 4 Ohm Mono (14.4V) 300 watts x1

RMS Power 2 Ohm Mono (14.4V) 600 watts x1

RMS Power 1 Ohm Mono (14.4V) 1100 watts x1

you can get these on the 'bay for under 200 usually and they will blow any of the prd stuff out of the water imho

the mcd-1000 still have the same board thats in the st-1000d and the mc-1000d the only thing that change was the heat sync.Output power on the the amps are the same.If you get the memphis it have a very good warrenty on it too.Go memphis
