4 12"s 4ohms drop to 2ohms

I have 4 kicker comp 12" subs and a 1000w SSL evolution monoblock amp thats 2ohm stable. i want to spread 1000w throughout the build, puting 250 watts per sub. now i want all the subs to run off the monoblock at 2 ohms, how would i go apon wiring that.?

You need to have dual 4 ohm or single 2 ohm subs to wire into a 2 ohm load.

if you have 2 sets of terminals its a DVC if you only have 1 then its a SVC

If they are single 4 ohm you are not going to be able to wire to 2 ohm.

i was always told u cant wire 2 dual 4 12s down to 2 ohm blah blah i call bull **** ive done it and checked it numerous times to make sure and im telling you this works break out the dmm and check for yourselfs so this will work for 4 svc 4 ohms.

That is 1 ohm.

If your meter is showing you 2 ohm then try this.

Leave it on the correct setting to test the ohm. Then touch the leads together and see what the internal resistance of the meter and leads is. Then subtract that from the number it displays when you check your wiring.

you bought comps and the ssl after all? dam :l as far as the load goes wire to 1 ohms and then use a LONG run of speaker wire to wire your subs, get me?
