4 10 inch 500 rms subs vs. 2 15 inch 1000 rms subs

Hey, has anyone seen 4 10s in action? I've got 2 15s in a sealed box right now, but I want to hit those high notes and the lows. I plan on getting a larger box built in my trunk but don't know if I should go 4 10s vented or 2 15s sealed because I like the SQ. A lot of people tell me that quality 10 inch subs would hit louder and lower because the box size and trunk room in my Ford focus.

You got a Wall going on Up in that little car??Im not sure you would get very good sq out of one 15 in a ported enclosure in that small car,let alone ..sealed??What are the deminisions on the sub box sealed for 2-15s, and what kind of subs are they,and what kind of power you got up in there??Thats like trying to cram a lb of lunch meat into a Tuna can..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

Hitting the highs? 2 15's sealed in a tiny enclosure should sound pretty high.

1 ROCKFORD FOSGATE T 1000.1 FAN COOLED ELITE MODEL. Birth sheet said 1548 @ 1 ohm. 14.4 volts

2 Q Power 15 Inc subs in dual chamber 2- 2.4 cubes sealed and inverted.

270 amp alt.

RED TOP under hood. YELLOW TOP in trunk

ROCKFORD 1.2 FARRAD BATTERY CAP and ROKFORD 0guage wire

P300.4 for mids

Dynamat on trunk lid.

But it wont hit the lows as loud as it would ported in a larger box.

That's why I'm thinking of doin tens

1.2 per sub seems a little small. More like the size for a 12. Try one 15 ported anywhere from 3.5-5 cu/ft tuned mid 30's. You'll be able to hit the lows no problem with cabin gain. This will work for most 15's

Either that^^or a good pair of Gcon tens in the enclosure you have tuned to approx 32-34hz will bang really good without taking up anymore space and utilizing the box you have,as those subs need /recommend to 1.2 to 1.5 min ported @28-33hz,Those will bang theyre *** off

Go with the 10s ported. I had 15s sealed and my two 10s ported are louder and hit lower. You should go with two 1000+ rms 10s ported.

idk... my wifes ford focus sounds good and shes running a single l7 kicker, ported 5.2 cube box in trunk

are RF T1D210 overrated or are they good subs just to keep it all Fosgate. Although I do like those sundown subs.
