Stereo and Amp don't won't turn on...

Installing my 4 channel tonight, and once I tried turning the car on after everything was wired up, The radio and amp both wouldn't turn on. I checked all the fuses in the car, I'll double check in the morning, but I'm pretty sure they are fine. I didn't check the little inline fuse the HU, but why would that affect the inability for the amp to turn on to? Any thoughts, I won't have much time to brainstorm tomorrow morning since i have work at 7, so only about an hour to problem solve. So I need some suggestions, if yall have got any

Check fuses and the ground for the radio. Sounds like the problem is coming from the radio since the amp gets the turn on signal from the remote lead off the radio.

power and ground is good to the hu, but it wont turn on. One weird thing though is that the power button still has a guide tone when pressed, so there is power? I took off the face and put it back on but nothing and pushed on it but nothing. Maybe the faces connection is bad. Also I remember hearing things about lock codes with these hu's before, its an Eclipse Cd7000. Would that have anything to do with it? Very confused

check to see if the antenna is fully connected to the HU. Some head units use that as a ground connection and wont turn on without it. Other than that, sounds like the face place. clean off the metal traces that connect the faceplate to the HU with some steel wool.

Yep it was the faceplate, but now I'm going to have to check my remote, power and ground for the amp cause its not turning on, but that's easy, thanks guys
