I can not compare it to a sundown since i have never tested one of those.

I can compare it to our old 3250.1 and it does about the same power and you can roll the amp at .25 ohms. It cools much better than our old amplifier also. The 18v #s are also pretty much dead on with the first 3250.1

I would say the biggest difference is the price and the cooling.
