350 in a blazer

ok my dad just got finished building a 350 that were going to put in my blazer

350= 4bolt main heddman headers,holley 750cfm carb,lunati cam,edelbrock winters intake(very rare) ported heads and some more stuff just cant remember it right now he said it is around 400hp, what im wondering is will i have to upgrade the transmission/rear end. can someone recommend a good transmission if needed, ive heard the transmissions that come with the vortec 4.3liter engine are pretty strong. im thinkin bout goin with a ford 9in rear but not sure yet. ive also heard that the 4.3 liter engine mounts will work with a small block but im not sure. but if anyone has any advice i would really appreciate it.

A turbo 350 or turbo 400 would work. The turbo 400 is rated for heavier/higher horsepower engines. Hope this helps

I think the 350 will bolt right in, not for sure on that. I do know this has become popular in the S-10 truck which would be the same frame as you I believe, and I saw kits for them. So I dont know if they can just drop right in, but you will probably need a lone for gas on that thing. Hope it gets 12 mpg.

i dont think the motor mounts will bolt right up, i highly doubt it

that ****** isnt good enough, just go find urself a turbo 350 that doesnt need rebuilt or anything for about $100 $150 or so, itll run good and save u a lot of problems later on

when they put 350's in s-10s, part of the kit shows u where it beat the piss outa the firewall for disrtibutor clearance, so that might have to be done on a blazer, but im not for sure with the blazer
