ok im done with the depot....i was thrilled to not have to cut my box....they cut all the sheets for me...i paid 20 bux and i was one...

20 mins later after getting home and lining up the sheets i realize that the 18x11 sheet is actually 18x11.75...leaving a nice size gap between one of the side panels and the top of the box...im not sure if i can fill this entiley with silicone or not...im going to try.

this is my second ****ing box failure...im done with wood and depot....im gonna dive right into fiberglassing next...only with the fiberglass im not gonna be as worried...cuz i really expect to **** at least the first couple of times...but whatever...we'll see....bah ****in depot

Or he could just cut it himself. What people don't realize it that places like Home Depot line up the saw with the dimensions you give, but they don't take into account the blade width, etc. Just next time tell them you need exactly 12" clear, and they should be smart enough to adjust the saw accordingly.

Basically....also, it's been my experience that the people working at HD dislike making cuts and really don't care if you don't tip them, so if you're gonna be cheap and not tip the guy, make him show you the measurements to confirm that it's correct before he goes ahead and cuts it.

Tips?? For the Home Depot Lumber guys??? Now I've heard everything...

Try going on a cruise. They expect you to tip everybody from your waiter to your freaking maid. And dont let anybody help you with your bags had to tip the guy who took them from the car to the boarding area (about 30 feet) then I had to tip the guy who took the luggage from the boarding area onto the boat, not even all the way to my room mind you just onto the boat.
