I have 2 Hifonics TX1505Ds running at 1 ohm to produce a rated RMS of 1500 watts each. What size alternator should I get. I also have an extra Optima Red Top in the back, and plan on putting a Yellow Top under the hood. 1999 Dodge Durango SLT, the engine is a 5.9 liter V8. Thanks in advance.

WOW, 2 replies in like a minute! Thanks guys. The thing is... I'm currently running a stock battery under the hood (plus the red top in back), and I get light dimming with ONE sub cranked up. So, I'm going to get a yellow top, and then see how that helps if it does, and do some wire upgrading also.

There is an alternator group buy over on the realmofexcursion forums, sign up to thier forum, then goto the electrical/wiring section, look for the excessive amperage thread.

Nate is a good guy, and he'll give you a good deal on whatever alternator you need, just post your car specs and what you want, and he'll pm you a price before the price break.

Prices vary on different cars, but he should be able to build you an alt for your car, check it out, you wont be sorry.
