Fat guy on the GROUND.
Sup guys? I had 3 JBL GTO 15s, and recently I pulled them out, and slapped in 3 PowerBass Xtreme (old models) in the same ported box. The JBLs only had 3/8" Xmax, and I was driving them to the max at 2.6 ohms. (they were dual 4s, wired series-parallel). They were on my 2g Orion 250 HCCA. They sounded **** good to me, but I wanted more. So, like I said, I went with 3 PBX 15s, dual 1 ohm. I have them wired to 1.5 ohm. Now, they are only moving as much as the JBLs were, maybe a bit more. But I dont think they are getting the power they deserve. I hit a 143.6 with these new subs, and I talked to a car stereo installer (he been doing it since the 80s) and he said I'd be between 140 and 145 before I went run it. Well, after I went, I told him my numbers, and I asked if I could get more. He told me I can get a lot more. I asked if they need more power, and he said yes, among other things as well.
So, with that being said...I have them wired in this configuration....
Do you think if I put them on my 2100 HCCA wired into this configuration it would make a NOTICABLE diffrence?
Think that change in wiring, and the amps will make a big enough diffrence for me to be pleased? (keep in mind my numbers will be HALF of that because those diagrams are for dual 2 ohm, and I have dual 1 ohm)
