yea, its double the wattage JL recommends. oh and go ported, dont consider anything else.

Whats Double the wattage JL recomends? the amp? Some say to just turn the gain down.... I want to have enough amp to power these to their potential, but if or when i blow them, or decide to get new ones...then i will have enough amp to just get the new subs.

id say its fine...youre only gonna get like 1200-1300w at 1 ohm and at your impedance you should get slightly less than that so youre only overpowering each sub by 75 or so watts i say keep the gains a little bit lower than what itd normally be set at and watch the volume. just listen to it and see how they handle, i woudlnt worry about it though
