3 Idmax D4 12'' Sealed-i Need Power.

can someone please tell me what amp i need to power these bad boys. i posted up in general discussion forum a dude refered me to a 03 rf power 1050-who the hell makes that amp. im trying to stay away from class d mono amps want to find a decent powerful 2 ch to push those 3 idmax's-thanx for any help

i dont know buddy posted it on the general discussion forum-the subs are 2 ohm dual voice coil. i posted in the general discussion forum saying i need an amp for 3 idmax's and he put 03 rf power 1050's

ah hell, those amps ****.can anybody do better than that these subs can handle 1000 rms, i need something that will make these babies scream!! i kinda like those new kicker sx amps- think im gonna get one to power my midbass drivers

I posted earlier that I did not see that you had three subs and that I felt maybe 3 smaller amps would do you better, but I dont know where my posts are now

that happened to me yesterday-i hate retyping because i **** at it. yeah i kinda figured i'd have to get 3 amps. i know the zapco c2k 9.0 xd is rated at 1200 watts but a tech at image dynamics said it's highly underated-it's really pushing 2,500 watt

Ok, you say they are D4 subs in the title. So, they are 4ohm/coil, correct?

these subs can handle 1000 rms,

Remember, what a sub can "handle" isnt' necessarily what they need. IDMaxes don't need a ton of power to get going....even as low as 500w per sub would do awesome depending on the box.

I did not delete the posts, I am able but for some reason they are gone, maybe one of the other mods did when I was not looking, sneaky bastards, haha anyway if you want to know about the Zapco 9.0 you must talk to bumpin yota, he has competed with them and done very well, they are very efficent amps, and do well over 2000 watts, but they are very $$$, but from my experience, you dont need that much power to push IDMAXs,

 

you could see if you can find a deal on 3 smaller 700-900 watt amps, might be a little cheaper than one monster amp, because 3 subs are going to show a single an odd load

i aint got the subs yet but they come in dual 4 and dual 2 ohm i guess i should ask which sub to get depending on the amp i go with-thanx!
