15" MT vs 2 15" SX

well I like to get loud to show off against other cars since nobody down here has even heard of RE, but I will also be competing, I heard the MT can get extremely loud so I wondering what would be a better one to go with.

well the mt is strictly a spl sub so says re. so if you like sound quality i would go with the sx's.

you had better know exactly what your getting befor you do eather, if you want something that you could possibally listen to on a daily basis you should deffently go with the sx's. i had a 15" MT in my car for a very short while and even at only 1000watts it sounded terrible and bearly moved, it takes a sh*t load of power to run the MT, ive heard of people giving it 4000-6000watts in burps for spl comps.

The 2 15" sx's togeather will take half the power to bass with and to show off (around 2000watts total) but this also depends if your gunna compete with it or not, cuz your gunna wanna run more if your gunna spl it.

some compititions base catagories on cone area, others on watts, figure that out too, cuz 2 15" sx's might be louder but then again you might also be in the same catagory as a kid with 2 15" mt's

in all likleyness, eather sub setup will be loud enough that you wont be able to notice a db differnce by ear

when it comes right down to it

15" MT = needs equal or more power to run, sound much worse but would take up less area with a box and cost less when purchesing subs

2 15" sx's, will sound better, prolly get louder if measured, but will cost more in subs and take up more space with the box's

personally id do the sx's for the money and so i dont have to swap the system out when i wanna listen to real music

MT is pretty efficient...I ran my old 18" (triple spider) with about 500w and it was very loud...

Dave used to run his off 700w/ea and he said they were quite loud as well...

two sx's for sure. allot more cone area, on woofers that are already extremely loud.

Why does everyone talk about how loud the Brahma is so loud, vs. the MT...I thought the MT was bigger and better??? Anyone please?
