6cubes net vented side, 9 cubes net sealed side tuned to 46Hz for flat response

audio phill on his design 3rd pic.

Ok, here's what I got so far. The Qts of the drivers is way to high for a 6th order alignment, and the EBP is a little high for them to produce a wide enough bandwidth (3dB down range of 28Hz-75Hz) in a 4th order alignment so the front stage doesnt have to be overly beefy. The 4th order needs twin ports 4" x 20" x 24.75" to get vent mach low enough to produse sound instead of noise. This would situate all four woofers in a lower chamber facing up into the ported chamber with 2 ports one over the other that vented into the blow-through. Size wise, double baffling the enclosure only allows enough net volume for a 4th order design which may be best bet anyhow. This is figuring with Ascendant Audio specs so my design could be as much as 30% off. If you know anyone who could spec them it would help us tremendously at getting the enclosure design right the first time.

heres the winsid for the responses on the graph. This is for 4 15's AA chaos in a blowthrough keep in mind I want something for daily to pound the lows and play good on music a good box for daily not going to compete

they are all bandpass 4th orders?? I know that, or did you mean all are good designs??

If so i am confused how all 3 are spec the 2nd one airspace is totally different so how would they all perform good?? dont know much about 4th orders

the last two pics are huge i don't feel like scrolling back and forth to check em out lol.. ask gmonk for a little help if you are in like tampa or so

not to sound biased but #2 looks the best...

1-highest peaking

2-its tuned the lowest

3- its -3db rolloff is the lowest out of all the other designs look closely u can see it

once te incar frequency take effect it will only enhance the design

4-and it has the biggest ported chamber and the biggest port...

I would also like to add that the fact you posted these designs freely is probably not a good thing. If I remember correctly you received these from other members? Should always ask them if they mind their design, especially if they're paid for, before posting.

Meaning what? If he hasnt payed for the design yet, or if it were free?

If it's a free design and open to the public, all you're doing is reposting it, not a big deal. You always need to check with the author first though. It's a respect thing bossman.

Just for the record, if you are wondering why this guy is such a tool
its King Ranch BTW
for the record who doesnt know that:rolleyes:

the only design that wasnt posted for others to see was the second one, and he made it about 3 weeks ago since then i have asked him several times for his paypal. Even though he never said hey its 10 bucks or w/e. Well today he finally sends me the addy 3 weeks down the road:rolleyes:. Anyway not here to start an arguement. Anyway not many people will have the same size dimensons for that box or the port or same subs so posting the design on here isnt a big deal. how many people have the same subs, same size for a box, and same size for port and want the same result??

i quoted him $450 to build that box - 1" mdf, double 3/4 on baffle, tnuts mounting, paint port, corner bracing, round over on all outside edges internally, weather stripping on subs and removable access panel, this box will use a lot of material, do you think i was out of line on my price? if so what is the going rate on a box like this?
