correction the dd z1 isn't a big fan of .5 ohms. It will run for a short time but 9 times out of 10 they will blow a mosfet. 5000 out of 1 amp is alot. and this will draw 1000 amps at full tilt. thats a lot of current for most 14 volt systems. its a monster I tell you that much. with this amp i could only get about 5 seconds of burp before i drained 4 batts. but with 2 audiobahn immortal 15's at 1 ohm getting true 2500 watts with 0 sound deadner i was able to pull a 152.7 so and the box was tiny about 2.5 cubes at 35 htz off of a song by lil wyite (oxycotton)

i know someone who ran it at .35, runs a 200a alt and 2 walmart batts and drops to high/mid 13s?

I found them to be more efficent than the AB 500.1 or the Rockford t30001bd.One thing I would concern myself with is the serial number to see if it's an old model or a newer one.
