2x 10" Type R or 2x 12" Type S?

Okay, I'm building a custom enclosure for the back of my Cherokee including 2 sealed sub boxes and a cargo box. I'm wondering which setup will be better for setting off car alarms while retaining good sq? I can get either sub for about 100 on ebay, so $200 is my limit. I'm gonna be running an Alpine M1000 amp and iDA-x303 hu. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks~

Even one 10 inch Type R in the right box would handle two Type S'

well i work at best buy and that choice in equipment, i deal with daily. that m1000 is way overpriced and is too much for those type s's to be honest. go with one 12" type r with a better amp for the money. try something like the aq 1200.

Neither. The Type S doesn't get very loud and IMO the Type R doesn't sound very good.

I can't believe no one caught the sealed box part. Type Rs WANT ported. If you're going sealed, i suggest going with the RE SEs for about the same price.

I would go with the type s if you are looking for sq just my .02

Out of those choices, I would do the type-r. But if I had a third choice and was going to run alpine, than I would do the type-x.

The reason I need a sealed box is limited space. I'm building these into a cargo box and can only get about 1 ft^3 per sub. And as for type x, only got about 250 max for these
