Cops where i live are terrible. I've been pulled a bunch of times for my system. I have spent tons of money on the system in my truck, and i didnt buy all of it to just cruise down the road and not play it loud. IMO they should be worried about people getting killed, robbing places, drugs, ect. rather than pulling sum1 bc they have a loud system. Hell I have even gotten pulled bc the cop said my rims were so shiney that when the sun hits them it could cause an accident bc of the way the lite bounces off the chrome when the wheel spins. I've seen a couple people talk about respect, you gotta give respect before you recieve it and pulling me bc my wheels cause a brief "blindness" to other drivers on the road is BS.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I'm sure I have more power than you and run at about 90% ALWAYS. Only tickets I have are headlights, speeding and seatbelts. Keep your windows up when bumping and always have a PAUSE/MUTE/POWER button easily accessible simple unwritten rules. If your head unit can't provide you with those 3, you have bigger issues than a noise ordinance violation.

I like to look at it like this. During the day time hours, free game for the most part. If i'm rollin through a small town, ill have it down if not off but when i'm traveling to the city and on expressways, IDGAF! Surprisingly everyone where I live, young and old think it's cool and usually ask me to crank it up to see how loud it is. And this is in the new town I live in where my wife is from.

In my home town, since I was 16, ive been involved with car audio and was known as the "speaker guy". Then the whole town knew about me when I won a comp and the school posted the info and pic of me with my trohphy in the newspaper. That's when everybody would tell me to just crank it up when they seen me driving around in town. Including a few police officers I knew. But never once got a warning or ticket.

It's hard to ride dirty in VA. There are too many cops to take a chance on bumping full tilt anywhere but a show or highway. I will go full tilt at a light for a few seconds if there is an ass clown bumping a bad system or a fart cannon driver revving his engine.

I still can't believe radar detectors are illegal in VA. I like on the show moonshiners that Tim guy talks about how VA police are always looking for ways to pull people over.

Everything is strict here, I have friends who have been pulled over for going 6-7 over the speed limit. Also there are many undercover cops here and they also have switched out a good portion of the Crown Vic's with Dodge Chargers.

I like VA a lot and wouldn't mind moving there but the policing there is just the only set back I see. Well and lack of jobs compared to upstate NY.
