Fi is not the "lower end of ascendant". Fi is the dealer direct brand, where AA is the brick and mortar brand. Simple as that.

I heard from a few ethusiats that they didn't like the sound of a DC xl sub.

That's what kept me from getting a set.

IMO, I think the best sounding subs DC makes are the level 4's on down to the 2's.

The xl series and Level 5's maybe just overbuilt subs.

I think I may sell my hdc3's with my Pipe 3k and either go with 2 xcons 12's or one AA smd 15.

I might even sell my Tek mm4000.1d and get a opti6000d to run with whichever sub if come off the AQ's

with that power it's hard to beat a pair of dd 2515s or FI SSD 15s
