daily/spl setup in gmc sonoma extended cab truck

I was wondering what would be louder and get in the 140+ for a daily and spl setup. 2 DD 2512 or 1 big 15" my budget is $600 for subs. I have a stetsom 2k5 1 ohm amp to work with, it will be going in a gmc sonoma extended cab. I need all the help I can get thanks for everything.

From what I know 2 12's could be louder than 1 15 box design, and power are some major contributing factors.

But skar audio does have a great line of subwoofers rated at 600rms but can take a lot more.

Subs forward and port up...or subs/port up. The first typically yields some great results.

As for the product...I would look into a set of 15s, you can more then likely pick up a set of used subs for a decent price.

Do not get the skar with that power..it will be dead rather quickly.

I was told I dont have enough airspace for 2 15" and I was told 2 12" is bout it. Wat sub would be the best for the amp I have

1 15 is what I ment. Once I get my build started with my 15 I want to stride towards getting about the power you can at 4ohms, the DVC 2ohm can be wired up to 4ohms.

What year Sonoma do you have? There is no reason why you do not have enough room for 2 15s back there. I have done that several times over the years.

I would look into a pair of 15s personally.

If you got powah and room do 2 15's, though you could easily do 140 + off of one, or even one 12. Or 2 12's. Or maybe a 10. Or 3 10's. Who knows?

OP if you got 5k I would do 2 subs. You can get very loud off 2500w each, and it will be hard to find a sub that can take 5k daily and sound good (soundstream xxx will do it but they are hard to find)

I have like 5 cubes to work with and was looking for subs that will handle my 2k5 daily would the 2 2512 work or 1 Orion hcca 15"

Why do you have such a small area? Are you not using some of the are for some reason?

And no I would not get the 2500 series subs with that much power.

If you won't use all the space you have, you can toss the idea of a single big 15 or two decent 12's out the window. Most of them require a large amount of space.

So if you keep yourself limited to the small space you would have to look into brands that do not require a large enclosure. Both of your options do not fit that requirement.

I have an 01 S10 with 2 15"s in it under the windowline. Its actually fairly easy to find more than 5 cubes.
