daily/spl setup in gmc sonoma extended cab truck

Subs forward and port up...or subs/port up. The first typically yields some great results.

As for the product...I would look into a set of 15s, you can more then likely pick up a set of used subs for a decent price.

Do not get the skar with that power..it will be dead rather quickly.

 
What year Sonoma do you have? There is no reason why you do not have enough room for 2 15s back there. I have done that several times over the years.

I would look into a pair of 15s personally.

1 15 is what I ment. Once I get my build started with my 15 I want to stride towards getting about the power you can at 4ohms, the DVC 2ohm can be wired up to 4ohms.
2500rms with a single skar? You will need a few recones to keep you going.

Am I reading this wrong? or should I be looking at the 13volts

RMS Power @ 12.6V Mono 4 Ohms: 1100 Watt

 
OP if you got 5k I would do 2 subs. You can get very loud off 2500w each, and it will be hard to find a sub that can take 5k daily and sound good (soundstream xxx will do it but they are hard to find)

 
Why do you have such a small area? Are you not using some of the are for some reason?

And no I would not get the 2500 series subs with that much power.

If you won't use all the space you have, you can toss the idea of a single big 15 or two decent 12's out the window. Most of them require a large amount of space.

So if you keep yourself limited to the small space you would have to look into brands that do not require a large enclosure. Both of your options do not fit that requirement.
