25000 RMS on 105amp Alt?

2500 NOT 25000!!! typo sorry. Can a mod fix that?

I was looking to add a Sundown SAE-1500 to my system and was told I could go larger to fight ohm rise. Because the Sundown is essentially the same price as the SQ2200 I was thinking maybe I should just get the SQ2200 to compliment the SQ 90.4 I'll be using. I'm then left wonder if jumping from an SQ1200 to the sundown1500 to the SQ2200 even matters given my electrical.

Big three are done, Kinetik HC1800 in the front and a stock 105 amp alt. I would probably be able to get a second battery near the amps soon but the alt will be out of my price range for a while.

Should I even be shopping for a system this large unless I plan on doing an alt and second battery?

If not would my current electrical feed the SQ1200 and SQ90.4?

Thanks for the help

haha. 25,000w rms on 105a alternator. no way. now 2500w rms that is a different story. i ran 2800w rms on my stock 80a in my toyota tacoma for years with no issue with battery upgrades and big 3 wiring.

25000 would be sick! my bad, 2500 indeed.

Good example of making it work, thanks for the reply

so you have the absolute easiest vehicle to get alternators for man, go find yourself an AD244 from a junkyard for less than 60 bucks it should be a direct swap with MAYBE needing a different belt but you'll be able to tell if you put the alts next to each other. i have a list of ALL the vehicles they come off of which is what youll need to look for

ive been told to use car-part.com and ive actually found a couple ad244s close to me that i plan on picking up in the next coming days

ad244's put out 200a cold, and about 120 hot at IDLE so it'll be a definitely improvement and well worth the measly 60 bucks

in addition, you can get a dual battery tray for about $40 from the dealership which takes a whole 15 mins to install. ive done it, you should too lol

What did you have in terms of batteries? Would a HC1800 up front and an HC1800 in back do the trick?

That's the kind of info that helps a lot THANKS!!!

to be honest the kinetik power cells are not designed to be used under the hood. they will work but that is not what they are designed for. they are designed to be within 6' of the amplifiers they are powering. i had an optima red top for a starting battery and a kinetik HC3800 for the amplifiers.

sure thing let me know if you have any questions, you can fit 2 g34 or g34/78s under the hood which is better than having a battery in the cab imo (we're lucky we have that option) and with the ad244 alternator you'll be set for a price cheaper than a HO alternator by itself

That's why the link posted is Caco //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif
For non- caco members? ok....

Hope that bracket comes with some of those leaves :lmao:

Did you use a battery isolator or just wired in parallel?

You DO NOT need an batt isolator
I know I don't need it but my biggest concern is if I have my car worked on and they don't disconnect the second batt. How would I protect against this? What's something I could do so that before its worked on the second battery can be shut down easily? I'm not even sure I understand the proper order to disconnect/connect a two battery system.

You are running them parallel. Take the 5 mins out to disconnect the power and ground from the amp.

No issues there. The amp will output depending on the speaker's impedance rating. Are you using a component x-over or is only the tweeter with x-over?
