$2500 to spend help me out

Alright so im trying to stay under 2600.00 for all the equipment for a system for my truck please let me know if iam setting myself up for failure

Vehicle 2006 GMC 2500 Crewcab

3 maybe 4 10" re se subs $ 80 a piece $320.00

Sub amp Hifonics 2608D $400.00

JL zr 800 8" in front doors $125 a piece $250.00

PG RSD 65 one set in front doors with the JLs $90.00

PG RSD 65 other set in rear doors maybe no rear fill?? $90.00

Mid/highs amp hifonics 8408 or arc audio 300.4 $200.00 0r 400.00

MA audio 3 way crossover $70.00

Kenwood DNX 8120 $1200.00

Total $2620.00 or $2820.00

Guys please chime and let me know what you would change or if you think the setup would sound good. I really want a good sounding setup that is loud and good spl while still having some SQ

i vote no on the hifonics 2608D, especially for that price. You can get nicer amps at around that power, for cheaper. i picked up my GP3000D pushing 3K RMS @ 1 ohm (when the 260dD would only do ~2300-2400RMS) but i got mine for $325 shipped, but it was used. are you willing to go used?

and i say ditch the JLs in the door, i dont know much about midbass, but i am sure soemoen will find you cheaper, better stuff for midbass

Im just trying to do my part stimulating the economy. And i also know i will have more expense with wires / rca wood fiberglass etc im just talking about equipment

I recently bought a 1200watt kicker cvxcomp10 with dual voice coils. and an alpine mrp m-1000 amp and after i hooked it up it sounded blown. when i turn the gain up it sounds like the coils are shot. i used one of the posts here to wire it up

its still hitting all the lowsbut the punch sounds like crap. what am i doing wrong? my cousin says it might b bc its brand new and u gotta work it in but that seems too odd to me

I really am concerned about going used i mean it seems alot of people pushes their stuff to the max and then sells it six months later

I really want some good midbass and vocals and it seems that 6.5s that i have heard never have great midbass like their is something missing between the highs and lows???

if you want to go cheaper on mids, dayton audio speakers at partsexpress.com is a good option
