250$ install!? What do I need to do this myself?

I called up Kartunes (a local car audio/security/tinting shop) and asked how much it would cost to install my deck, a new pair of 4x6's, a new pair of 6x9's, an amp, and a pair of cheap subs and they told me over 250$ plus parts...

I dont really want to pay that much because I didnt even spend that much on the speakers.......

What do I need to install this myself?

If it's good shop... it's probably worth it. If anything goes wrong, take it back and make em fix it

We charge:

50 for radio

70 for speakers

60 for amp sub

or something around those prices

so that's 180 from cc.

check the classifieds people are always selling tons of wiring stuff (including me ) just DIY and save some bucks

Some cars are not the most n00b friendly.If this dude has a 2006 BMW something or other, and doesn't know shit about what he's doing, would you still encourage it?

That is what gets the installs with negatives on the speakers actually grounded, amp ground in a flower pot, wires running out of the hood or trunk from a drilled hole, the radio grounded to itself, wires running through a closed door, holes drilled in gas tanks, etc. etc. I could go on and on.

I have a pioneer deh-p9200r and the equipment will be going into a 80' coupe deville... So 250$ is reasonable?

well dude you gotta ask yourself can you do it, i tried installin my stuff but i couldent do it myself , i mean the speakers should be childs play but for the amp + head unit you might consider having a shop do that so they can make the headunit nice and flush + pretty and have the wires from the amp ran underneath the carpet + nice + pretty
