21 or 2 15s?

well im debating between going with 2 15 death penaltys or getting a 21 inch dp/warden. if i go with the 2 15s i will be getting another dc 2k to strap my current one, and the same if i go with a 21 warden. let me hear some of you guys opinions, what would you do? 2 15s and 1 21 is pretty close to the same cone area. will be getting a design done by ram for which ever one i go with and there will be lots of power. opinions?

Ain't gonna be much louder with 2 15's unless they are a lot more efficient. Surface area is pretty close. Actually might go to the 21 because it only has 1 surround.

The 21 will prolly need more volume than the 2 15's though. So make sure you have the space available. 21 should play lower louder as well. So....really in the end, it is up to your wallet and wants.

either setup will be getting the same power. unless i go with one 21 dp which i probably wont do, will get the warden

Not by a huge margin, but this would be the option I'd go with..

i got the space will probably give it 8.5 cubes after port and sub displacement, and do the hole shibang on the box kerfed port 45s double baffle ect. ect.

Where the fack did you learn your math........

Say each sub has a 1" surround....that gives a radius of the 15" sub at 6.5". Now PiR^2 = 132.732 square inches of surface area....2 subs equals 265.464 square inches.

Now for the 21" = radius of 9.5". PiR^2 = 283.529 square inches.

283.529

- 265.464

= 18.065 square inches in favor of the 21".

whats the draw back? i heard they got to be recharged but usually that is only for burp purposes and wont have to be done in a daily.

If they get hot to many times they need to be. Thats to much hassle for me

If they get hot to many times they need to be. Thats to much hassle for me

i dont think i would have to worry about them getting hot, whats it cost for a recharge, anyone know? and do you have to send it back to ia for a recharge?
