I'm wonderin which sub I should go with and im not sure if i should go for the sdc2.5 at 2ohm or hdc3 at 1ohm? 15" subs ... I have a hifonics hfi1000.1d at the moment and not sure if I should go with the 1 ohm load. And would there be a big difference between the 600 vs 1000? Because there is a pretty big price difference. Or would it be better doing 2 sdc2.5 12's instead of the hdc315?

Open to amp suggestions too for which ever set up, but im also trying to do some speakers off an amp as well so I dont wanna spend to to much.

2 sdc2.5 12's and get a AQ1200 to power them
I might go with that then. What about box size, and tuning for them?

I would have liked to be able to use my amp now to keep the upgrade price down but I dont think it will be to bad if I can get a decent amount for my set up now...

^this, but off only 1200, the 2 15 sdc2.5s will do better.
2-12"s sdc2.5 vs 1-15" hdc3

Theyre basically the same price.

ah nice, probably should have looked around on their site. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif So 4-5 cubes. Should they be tuned to 36hz? I would just use the box calculator to make something to fit the trunk.

yea i used RE box calculator i am tuned to 34hz at 3.5 cubes and it sounds good I would of gone about 4.5 but i was limited on the trunk space... depending on the type of music you listen to 34-36hz should be good.

your 1kw amp will be fine for 2 SDC's

I ran my 12's in 4.5net @ 36Hz off a 1200D. Solid set up, sounded very good and did a 142 the one time I metered it....

I was actually wrong i have the 1500d idk why i thought it was 1000.. even better for the sdc's if i could run it at 1ohm

I say just get the HDC3. It will take 2k easily in the right box giving you plenty of overhead.
this.... its always sounds better whe nppls think you have multi subs but you only have 1 sub...."less is more" lol..... the hdc3 15 will be fine with that amount if power

Yeah my friend had a single 12" type r set up, it was louder than my set up now.. Im trying to convince him to get a sdc12 since his R got fried... I'm not really to concerned about the wow factor for one sub. Its basically the same price for 2 12 or 1 15 would they be similar in loudness?

Sundown for sure. I've never been impressed by the Avatar. I would also look at a DC Level 4.
