Sorry the quality of the pics, they were taken with my iPhone. I am going back to the shop tomorrow to finish up with a piece of plexiglass over the amp rack's see through window which will be lit up with LED's. Looking good, not a huge fan of JL myself, but sure like these cars and like the cars that have the battery in the back! Great idea!

Believe it or not batteries in the back is a BAD idea. Nothing but a nightmare for noise issues. Trust me, my car has been hell with noise.

same thing I want to know. I'll be getting one soon, but I almost don't want it if I can't get a Pioneer double din without having a custom fabricated bezel.

Not yet, but Metra has announced they have a double din kit coming out in January that will run around $400. The problem is that Onstar, Bluetooth, alarm, lighting, HVAC, etc.. is all run through the current headunit. Metra's new unit will fix that problem and add new air conditioning buttons and remove the knobs.

So I guess we will know more once they release it, I'll probably be picking that up with a nav unit.

400, holy hell. id hate to think that my dash kit cost more than most of the pieces of my system individually... lol at this point only my HU would of cost more!

lol well that's what the rumor is anyways. Metra hasn't released an "official" price yet, as far as I know.

eh, seems like alot of the kits nowadays are getting up there in price because they arent just little pieces of plastic, they are getting more elaborate because, like the camaro, they have to integrate the AC controls and what not. alot of kits now are virtually replacing the entire console.

its rather sad, but i have started thinking about what my next car will be and ive considered in my decision making how hard it will be to replace the HU..
