200amp fuse ok for 150 rated amp?

That fuse isn't to protect the amp, it's to save the wire from melting...you're fine as long as the wire won't melt under 200 amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

 
um. please fuse before the amp as well.

i had a fuse by the battery up front and hooked up my pg tantrum1200.1 (has no onboard fuse) and as soon as i turn the key, radio turns on, and i hear an incrimental whining and a "pop!" and no bass. turns out i fried that amp and didn't even pop my 200A breaker (4 gauge wire).

FUSE BEFORE THE AMP AS WELL.
