It is illegal to hunt over bait in Mississippi...We put out the corn and mineral licks and set our cameras over them to get an idea of what kind of bucks are in the area..The good buck in the first pic will be strictly nocturnal into the rut (breeding season) kicks in....It makes it a lot easier to sit in a stand for 6-7 hours a time when you know a buck like that is in the area...

so not only are you hunting defenseless animals, you're putting out camera's to see when they eat so you can come out there 5 minutes before they do and let them walk right up on you?

we do the same thing with bait and cameras at night for the hobos..to learn their feeding habits. they dont come out much in the winter, so we mainly bait in the summer. after a few weeks, we have a good few comming around at night, and one night at peak time i go out and shank them all while they are grazing and hang them in my meat freezer so we dont go hungry during the long winters
