2007 Ram 1500 delimma

Just bought a 2007 RAM 1500. I want a HU with iPod interface and high quality sound processing.

There seems to be an issue with the flip down face due to the new way Dodge's dash and stock HU are designed.

I already have all the amps and speakers to install but I can't find a HU that will fit.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

custom fab a dash mount for the HU of your choice, not that hard and it will probably look much cleaner...

Buy the factory double din dash bezel, mounting kit, and any double din unit of your choice. I have a Pioneer Avic D3 its nice. The factory bezel can be bought for about 100 bucks on ebay and the mounting kit is about 15 bucks.

That isnt the factory nav. bezel. Thats the regular bezel that has been modified to fit. That would probably work as well. I just dont like the little round edge thingys.

Thats the factory navigation bezel that comes with the nav. equiped Rams. I bought mine on fleabay for about 100 bucks. Then you purchase a metra mounting kit that adapts the bezel to the double din h/u.

As far as sound processing, it has a 3 band parametric eq. (which is sufficent), a high pass filter, subwoofer control with crossover. As far as surround sound and stuff like that I dont think it has 5.1 processing and stuff like that. It sounds really good anyways with a movie though. I guess youd need a center channel if you wanted 5.1 anyways. My daughter doesnt complain in the car anymore, you just pop in a Disney movie and its a pleasant quiet ride! HA HA.

Huge- I really like the way that Kenwood looks. How do you like it? And does it have Nav?
