Supergumby5000 on the forum will know.. I know he has removed the seats before in his avalanche.. not sure if its a 04.. but they are all likely to be similar.. send him a PM..
no he has a different package. he has a real bench in the front row not the 40/20/40 split.

no problem i already pm'd him today. also, one of the bolts on the frame is stripped...any suggestions on how to get it out?

the head of the bolt is stripped or what? how bad?
ya before we even started it was stripped. idk how but the socket i put on it which is the correct size wouldnt grip it. kept slipping off.

i have an 04 silverado. i know exactly what you are talking about. i think we might have the same set up for the front row. i can look in the morning if you want me to. ill get back at you 2morrow.
ya thatd be great..thanks

Take the next smallest size below the size that regularly fit the head of the bolt.. and either pound that sucker on if you can, or find out what it converts to..

If its metric.. find the standard SAE conversion, or vise versa and see how it does..

otherwise they make sockets that are made to fit on stripped bolts.. but they cost a pretty penny since i have only seen them through snap on, mac, craftsman(cheapest route) and etc..

well ill go check the workshop tomorrow. ive yet to find a tool that isnt in that workshop.

i tried vise grips, all it did was shred metal off the bolt

hmm.. well yea I would try fitting a smaller socket or a converted socket that will pound onto it.. otherwise if you can't afford the special sockets or can't fight any .. and are desperate to get it out.. a torch never fails.. lol.. thats only an option tho..

Andrew

oxy asentaline (sp?) would get it out.. NOT plasma cutter..
Hopefully you just find a socket or easier way.. good luck man.. LMK on the AQ deal..
haha i didnt mean plasma cutter to get the bolt out. i meant it to cut the whole **** seat out.

ya..u should blow ur immortal, let me buy the motor, and then use ur other one
