thats an awesome setup... im starting to build my truck up.. how do those Alpine components sound? i was thinkin about gettin em but im not too sure..

I would recommend them. They sound great! Both mids and highs.

No problem. I'm actually thinking about making a new one over my spring break (2 weeks). I think I can get a little bigger box in there and that will bring my tuning down a bit. I also may try a loading board under the sub instead of firing it to the floor. I'll post whatever I do.

Well here is the new one. It is 2.13 cu. ft. tuned a little under 36 hz. It is definitely better on the low end. The box is actually 9" high front and back, the seat just makes it look angled. Its a tight fit for the seat to go down, but it does. With this bigger box, it seems like its moving a lot more air. I am going to try to get a vid sometime soon, but I don't want to play it around here. On to the pics...

It might look like the 4" aero is blocked here, but it is probably 1.5-2" away from the board you can see at the end of it.

Needed more port area.

4" = 12.56

3" = 7.065

= 19.625

5" = 19.625

Which is around 10 in^2 of port area.

So tuning is figured with 1 5" at 17" long. Might not be dead accurate, but its close enough. Two 4's was too much and two 3's wasn't enough.
