2003 Range Rover wit JL 1000/1, 10w7, etc power issue

I recently had a friend of mine in Minneapolis who is a very skilled mobile audio professional build a custom fiberglass sealed enclosure for a JL 10w7 sub into the rear cargo area of my 2003 Range Rover (came out ABSOLUTELY STUNNING and as its built off a removable panel, it can be easily taken out in the event I ever sell my truck). I am running the system currently off the factory head unit (BMW produced), and have the whole system wired with either 0,2 or 4 gauge Monster cable. I initially had the sub powered by an alpine mrp-m1000 monoblock amp. Around 40-60 hz, the sub was clipping bad so we added a 2 farad rockford fosgate digital cap. When that didn't work, I upgraded the amp to a JL 1000/1 (I wanted to match the sub, have some headroom in case I add a second or increase from a 10 to a 13w7). The sound quality is NIGHT AND DAY better! It still clips in the same area but not nearly as bad. I fear the sub may have been damaged from the initial clipping.... but regardless, it hits MUCH harder and sounds 20x's as good. I also now have a bass knob which is amazingly convenient.

Now for the bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif after playing the system relatively loud for 30 min or so and intermittently throughout the evening, my battery light popped on. My vehicle is a 2003 Range Rover HSE. I'm curious what would be the options to step up the electrical system to compensate for the stereos power consumption. A bigger/more powerful battery? a high output alternator? I intend to add a more powerful amp for the rest of the system perhaps a jl 300/4 and upgrade the mids and other misc speakers as well. In addition I plan on adding a Fosgate 3sixty.2 as I believe that part of the problem with my sound quality is all the funky settings the factory head unit is programmed with and want the extra ability to tune it to my liking.....

Now you have an idea of what I'm working with, what would you do first? I'm relatively new to this so I appreciate any input in advance. I've done some searches and reading on the site but know my vehicle draws a lot more current for it's already impressive laundry list of electronic features and figured with a more detailed summary of my current and future setups, it would be easier to get an accurate answer.

I am really bummed about this power issue as it will dip into the funds I have available for new additions to the system rather than batteries/alts to make them work:verymad:

Thank you for your time.
