what can i do to help out the performance and save gas?

trade that in and get a 96impala with a 305 small block in it

i bet all of you guys that dont like the wheels put heavy chrome wheels on there cars and call it a slab just like everyone else with an impala except a select few.

I think them rims look good on the car.

But with the bigger rim it does hurt your gas mileage. Besides that, there's not much to do to increase mileage and hp at the same time. When you increase your hp your also going to want to drive it harder, which will make your mpg drop like crazy. But to increase both here's pretty much your only options.

1. Cold Air intake

2. Synthetic Fluids

3. Exhaust

I've seen as much as 2 mpg just by synthetic fluids everywhere.

thanks man ya ive played around with it a little to try to save gas but right now i do about 22.5 mpg in the city just seeing if i can get a little more. ya i know about the rim size and that effect on gas. There only 18s tho so its not doing too badd.

That's the reason I said "as long as you drive it like a civilized human being". Why do you think 500+hp vettes are rated at about 28mpg hwy?

350 was in the SS. 305 was in the non-SS versions.

haha i dont care that much. they are ugly, and they are on a slow car anyways and i assume you have no brake upgrades either? nice.
