2002 Silverado

Took all interior out. Couldnt find fabric large enough, or within my reasonable price range...so i stripped it and just painted it. LMAO. Looks pretty decent to me. I have 3 layers of KilMat on the roof, and back wall. Front doors and rear doors have 2 layers.

So, front stage. I REALLY love the American Bass VFL 65 MBs that I've had since 2013. So I bought 2 more. LOL.
I now have 2 in each door in pods. I have them running on an Orion XTR1700.4. Now, for high end, I bought pods for my pillars from the same place I got my door pods. Now, I was going to run American Bass 3.5 SQs. So i bought those. BUT...they dont fit...not even close. SO I took the measurements and went on a search. Now, before you do any knocking...the mids have a 3500hz highpass filter, and the tweeters have an 8000hz highpass filter in line. The MRs are made by DROK. I know...who the...but they sound PERFECT! No lie. They freaking sound ON POINT. Try them in something. They are like $15 a pair, 25w, 8ohm. Paired with a tweeter that has HEAT...its basically the same 1" titanium tweeter with aluminum housing/ring on it. Sounds pretty decent. Its not over harsh. I dont have the pillar pods on my amp yet, but will soon. They do sound very good on head unit power.

Now we're here. The bottom end. I've been wanting more 15s for a long time. In 2017 I bought a pair of CVX 15s in a custom box for $300. Had them on a pair of DB DRive A7 1500s strapped. Sounded great until I started planning my next system. I bought a pair of Orion XTR amps. a 4000.1 and a 1700.4. I bought an Excessive Amperage alt and a 2nd alt bracket and ran that up front. The stocker is replaced with an upgraded 200a and the EA is a 270a. I do want to trade both and bracket for 1 bigger alt. But thats not important yet. I also have an XS Power D4700 in the bed and I have a 500 amp isolator relay under the hood. All 1/0 cables.

For the subs, I wanted to go to 4-15s. Savard had just brought back the Rap 15s. Before they had, I was messaging them back and forth about release date, specs, cost, and all the good stuff. I was told $109 to $129 each. When they came out, it was $165 PLUS shipping. Mind you...I could drive 30 minutes to pick them up. They declined. So, I bought 4 American Bass XD 1522 for $480 shipped, brand new. Before shipping cost on the Raps, I saved $180. Shipping was $35 each. Again..I am 15 miles away from them. So...add that to the total. I saved $320 for subs in the same range of performance and specs.

Now..the enclosure.
I paid $50 for it from a guy who bought a storage unit. It's worth $5. It rattles like crazy. I cant turn this up much at all. I have a design I want to try, and will soon. But for now, I'll use this at lower volume. Its still decent though. But for $50. It's a good break-in enclosure.

Due to its size, I couldnt think of where to mount my amps. So the 4k is in the rear driver's door, and the 4ch is in the rear passenger door. Will be changing that around a little bit pretty soon. Trim and all that.

And now...the ICE. The ICE. ***DEEEP BREATH***

Part 1...
My Kenwood Excelon DDX794 was not kind to me. It was slow. Had trouble reading my iPod 160gb Classic.
So, I built a car PC setup again. I had one back in 2006 in my 2005 Silverado, and it was GREAT. So, this go-round I changed up the computer setup. I have an Intel NUC 6CAYS. I upgraded the RAM to 8gb and the ssd to 500gb. Loaded about 10k MP3s on to it. Then...for the love of me...took over 2 years before I installed it into my truck. Why? Because I couldnt get the video of the PC to work with the Kenwood head unit. So...I ordered a 10.1" screen from Wish for like...$45. LMAO. Came in. worked. I put it on the front of my console where the 6 Disc factory changer was, as well as the clock and lil pocket. Fits like a GLOVE. HDMI from PC to Monitor, and BT from PC to HU for audio. I also bought a lil wireless keyboard with touchpad. Works great.

Part 2 ICE...
So, I wanted more. Who doesnt?
I sold the kenwood and went android. 4gb ram. 64gb rom. 10.1" HD screen. All android features. Any app you can think of.
Its low on the RCA voltage and only has 1 pair and 1 single sub out. The crossover is lacking. So I got myself a signal processor.

I went with Expert Electronics PX1 Connect. Its the Brazilian one with BT connectivity. Yep. I set my crossover from my phone. LMAO! It has soooooo much adjustability. You pick the EXACT frequency. You can have a low, band, high, or combo on EACH channel. So if you wanted front driver to be 4k highpass with a 150hz to 3000hz bandpass, but on the front passenger you wanted to have 3500hz highpass with a 140hz to 3290hz bandpass, you can do that. You also have INCOMING gain, as well as OUTPUT GAIN. Not to mention and INCOMING EQ and an OUTGOING EQ. Has the typical phase switch. 0° or 180° as well as DSP. Its VERY WELL WORTH TRYING IT OUT! I love it. So...I also added a DS18 remote bass level with voltage meter. CT Sounds sells one just like it...but I hear the knob itself is not as high quality as DS18. I stuffed it in the totally useless slot on the left side of my dash. Didnt want it sideways, but I've learned to deal with it. Now...the head unit...I do NOT like how it mounts. There's 2 brackets you mount where the hu goes. Put dash trim on. Then slide radio into brackets and screw it from the side. This leaves it sticking out of the dash about 1.5". I did put some black foam behind it to basically hide the ghetto. But I'm gonna clean that up further. THERE are models that do mount like normal HUs and the screen can detach from it to allow the trim to be put on without that issue. But the models with a detachable screen have a tilting face. I do NOT want a face to be movable. Hello? 4-15s here. Plus my truck rides 1.5" from the ground. Its not the smoothest ride, so I wanted my screen to be SOLID. So far, so good. I love this setup. It's my favorite so far. I am constantly changing things around. Might come back and update this thread again...possibly in 5 years, LMAO!

By the way, Torque App for engine monitoring on top screen, and HP Tuners on my Intel PC...just saying. I dont have HPTuners yet, but will. Oh, and the app with spectrum is Dub Music Player. It looks like it was MADE to be on a tablet instead of a phone.
