Does anyone know the stock alternator rating? I can't seem to find it, I even looked on the alternator itself, couldn't find anything.

My reason asking is because I was dimming on 500watts rms with a MTX 9500, now that I have 2 MTX 9500's and i'll be pushing 1500watts. I don't know what to do, get a new alternator? Get another battery in the truck? I have a Optima Yellowtop in the front, and a 2.2 farad capacitor, which isn't doing jack shit. and i'm getting my system installed this weekend (hopefully). Any thoughts?

130, 135, and 140A are all stock ratings depending on what engine.

Well that's what I found on a remanufactured alt.

Well for an example, I am running around 1k rms on a stock 140a alt, and no extra battery.

Not even the big 3. I get no voltage drops, even at idle.

I'm just easy with my gains.

I have an 03 Blazer and had the same problems. I am now running an AQ1200D and all I did was add a kinetik 800 and have no problems at all now.

I'm not sure why the hell 500w is dimming you. Are you running large enough power wire?

I had an RD 1000.1 at 1ohm in my completely stock MazdaSpeed3(65amp alt if I'm not mistaken, may even be a 60, it's well under 100 though) and I didnt dim that much to be honest.

Put an extra battery in the back, and upgrade the one up front if you're that worried and you'll be fine.

I have 0 gauge power/ground wire, and the front battery has been upgraded to the optima yellow top. as bumpin_buick said, is it a poor ground? I don't really know, a local audio store installed it for me.

I ran stock alt on my 2002 trailblazer and 3 kinetick 2400's and had no problems with running 2 Sundown 1500D's.
