I don't have this car yet but I hear it isn't all that. In addition I don't think it has an auxillary to add XM. Does it have an out to hook up an amp for a subwoofer? I am okay with the factory speakers and would like to retain the stock head unit but am I up against it? Would I be better off ripping the head unit out and put something else in? Anyone done something with these or added pieces to the mix using the stock unit?

Also wondering if a later model unit with built-in XM would work in there?

Thanks! That is a new one to me. How does it work? How does it get wired in and where can you buy it?

With one of those would I have to disconnect a speaker or speaker pair to use it?

Mdillion is right. You should start from scratch in that car. The monsoon stereo's amp is actually pretty good, the problem lies in the speakers. They are trash and can't handle the power from the amp. So even if u get a solid 12" sub, i guarantee you will blow your front's trying to keep up with it. And after they blow, good luck trying to find a decent set of 2ohm after market speakers that can handle the juice from the monsoon amp. I'm just trying to save u the extra hassle because I went through the same ordeal in my Camaro.
