2001 Chevy 1500 new wires

The previous owner of the truck had a crappy bazooka tube and a some random 300W amp. Anyways i have a BXi 1210d Amp and 2 4ohm 12 inch Alpine Type R's im going to wire at 1 ohm. My ground wire and power wire at 12 gauge i believe and i have no clue how im going to do this cause its all custom done and the wires sprout out from my carpet right underneath my back seats. Im buying a 4 gauge power wire and a 4 gauge ground wire. Where should i connect the ground cable? someone told me to connect it to a bolt somwhere on my wheel well. Also how should i get the wires out? just start tuggin on em or what? lol

well my guess is the guy that had the truck beofre you prob ran the wires under the carpet if they're hidden. in that case, take the plastics trims off the door frame and lift the carpet up. and as for the ground, i'm not sure where the best place would be in a silverado, i got a tahoe, i just used one of the tie down points in the back even though its not the best spot.

Start at the battery and work back.

Best ground would be directly to the battery but you can make your own.
