but this kinda seems like my last big alternator....am i suppose to see a big difference between my factory alt and upgrade alt?? b/c when my factory alt i was doing the same volts as i am not with this upgraded alt......i really do not like that i paid $400 for another alt that does the same **** thang as my factory one....reading 14.2 hot.....IDK about cold yeah ....my car was already hot when i installed it.... but i guess the upgraded one is suppose to be able to take a heavy load and keep up and factory aqlt wont correct?

I was under the impression that Alternators with higher amperage output are going to run around the same voltage levels as OEM ones except they have more Amperage output at lower RPM's. I think the voltage level is more dependent on the size of wire and the battery itself.

You shouldn't really notice a big difference in Voltage at the battery just because you upgraded the Alt. You may notice that the voltage doesn't dip or get as low....but I wouldn't expect to upgrade an alternator and automatically get a lot more than 14Volts.

I would have just kept the first HO alternator......

Either way, the system looks great. My gma has a grand marquee. This makes me want to get it from her when she is ready for a new vehicle. lol

hehe idk yet i will find out tommorrow ...i pray it does if not then i will have to make room for another in the trunk...... i was hoping to use my bass bars on the dekas in trunk also like my yellow tops.... i am not gunna install them untill the weekend...

Hm, I don't think it's going to fit up front. That is why I put a Yellowtop upfront first (my stock battery died so I had to replace it). I think the Deka is too tall and a bit long for the tray in the engine bay.

Do you still have the yellowtops? You could always keep one of those in the front.

It take some work, but a Deka can fit up front, CrownVicon24s put one up front in his CV, but like inkfx said, its a tight fit. Had to do some cutting and hammering because the Deka is so wide.

well if thats all it takes i will have one up front this weekend hahaha.....but yeah thanks alot man.....and will have another video once i get the new batts in and new temperaroy alt from DC power.....i cant make a video when my voltage it dropping into the 11's.... but once i get these batts and this temp alt i should be able to keep the volts in around 13...and then one i was my 270xp i should be able to keep my volts closr to 14 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.......but they have not made the 270xp for my car so rob said it should be done by the beginning of april...so he is sending me a temp untill then....

well...i got 1 up front .....had to rim some stuff....and it is kinda sideways b/c my wires werent long enough..... but now i only gotta get me a bungie cord to strap down the battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif......i really wish i would have done what my friend said...leave the yellow top up front....for starting the car ...run my power wire from alternator back to back 3 batteries.... the way i am gunna do the setup now is ....have 2 barreries in a line along the back seats...then have my bass amp directly in the middle..... now i just gotta find the time to do it ...here i got friday-sunday off but saturday i am going to SBN ...( not taking my car).....so i have to find time someday this weekend...might do it friday....if i can get some 1/0 wire here by then....
