IA = teh win
and i'm gonna go ahead and say this and probably get bashed, because i don't compete, but whatever
MECA is real gay. To me, their shows seem like "lets pat each other on the back and play with each other's cawk so we feel better about ourselves" so many of the competitors think they're the absolute loudest person on the planet too, and that MECA > *. that is, until a dB Dragger decides to come and play in MECA. i've personally seen both Eric Coulter and Kevin Koller (i'm sure there are more) beat the absolute brains out of everybody in MECA...its hilarious...guys with 10x the power and 2x the cone area get their faces broken in and whine like little girls.
i will however say that Drive By is real awesome...only reason i'd go to a MECA show
Come to MECA finals. Thats all i have to say. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The new rule system changed A LOT of things. No more of that bullshit 4 ohm amp rating (hence why guys from dB drag could kill MECA people, they have to put in alot more work to be competitive)
It's alot better than the *******, uptight street guys in dB drag. Some of those guys are real douche bags.
MECA is exactly what it's supposed to be, a FUN competitive environment where people aren't stressed to their breaking point. Competing in MECA is about having a good time, not trying to bust each others balls and try to always be #1.
Some guys in dB drag actually wouldn't stand a chance in MECA simply because of how their equipment is set up.
Don't have a fuse 18" from your amp? S5/M7 you go
Your hatch car has a box thats more than 26" from the back panel? M class you go.
You setup doesn't seem to run on a small enough fuse? Up to a higher class you go.
I'd wipe out 95% of the street guys (A-C) in terms of reality scores. Playing those high *** fart notes gets you nowhere in reality or driveby. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Not to mention that CRX's in MECA are at a HUGE disadvantage compared to CRX's in dB drag. They are only allowed 26" from the back panel for their boxes. No building up to the b-pillar bullshit.
But i digress, as somebody said to me online, it's like comparing apples and oranges. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Two different orgs, two different setups, each have their haters and their admirers.
Nothing about that is ever gonna change.
