20.1's at it again

and i'm gonna go ahead and say this and probably get bashed, because i don't compete, but whatever

MECA is real gay. To me, their shows seem like "lets pat each other on the back and play with each other's cawk so we feel better about ourselves" so many of the competitors think they're the absolute loudest person on the planet too, and that MECA > *. that is, until a dB Dragger decides to come and play in MECA. i've personally seen both Eric Coulter and Kevin Koller (i'm sure there are more) beat the absolute brains out of everybody in MECA...its hilarious...guys with 10x the power and 2x the cone area get their faces broken in and whine like little girls.

i will however say that Drive By is real awesome...only reason i'd go to a MECA show

i personally like dbdrag, can be a little boring if the show is small and not enough cars for brackets. there isn't many shows in my area, hence the reason i am not a member.

as far as dbdraggers coming to meca, it was them who cried that we didn't have an unlimited street class and a ban on 16v systems. they couldn't compete in the lower classes. that problem was partially eliminated with the addition of S5 last year and the addition of 16v to the street classes this year.

as far as which org is better, in the end it's really up to the competitor.

however, if we go by attendance and support... it would prolly look like this.

dbdrag > meca > usaci > slap > iasca

It's alot better than the *******, uptight street guys in MECA. Some of those guys are real douche bags.

Every DB Drag show ive been to (12-14, cant remember exactly) was ran smoothly and flawlessly. Noone had a stick up there *** and was very helpfull and would help anyone, even there own oponent if they needed it. Same with every usaci show, noone had the 'im better then you' attitude. Now i havnt been to a meca show but on a certin forum there were more then a few dividuals that had the 'im better then you' mentality...just my take on things

I think your forgeting that DB draggers dont care about reality, there not built for reality. Thats not what DB Drag is so why do they bother? Just like how you would get killed in db drag...it goes both ways.

Also, did i miss something? Why are all the meca'ers complaining about the 20.1?

Well, you haven't been to a MECA show, so your post is irrelevant if you ask me.

Almost all of my team runs street, and we help anybody who asks for it really. All of the dB draggers i've talked to are so d*mn secrative about anything and are just uptight all around.

Very true, but i was addressing the above post where the person said that dB draggers came into MECA and cleaned the place out, which WAS true last year before the rules change. Many dB draggers would have a tough time complying to MECA's new rules.

The big complaint about the 20.1 was the power ratings. Everybody knew they were bogus, they could handle ridiculously low ohm loads, and were pretty much impossible to get unless you had connections.

there were no complaints, in fact, with what the rep said and the new fusing rule... they sound like a **** good amp for meca.

someone brought up the fuse rule being unfair in comparison to the power rating usaci uses, thats how it started.

as far as the 20.1 and meca finals last year... read the thread.

tommy - i've been competing in meca for 3 years. draggers couldn't compete before because the were all in the highest m class(max rating), so there was no slaughtering.

This 20.1 looks alot like a 1200d to me, specs and fusing, anyone got internal pics? I doubt it would own the 2500d if it is similar to a 1200d.

WOW, I never would have thought that Josh congratulating people would have turned into anything like this. I can honestly say that if you know our company you know we’re just a company dedicated to great car audio products. This post of bashing our products saddens me to say the least as we do everything we can to make our customers and competitors happy.

I think our products have proved themselves the past two weekends. Scottie Johnson brought home a brand new car with 16 20.1’s and 4 MT 18’s during a 5 minute Death Match. Plus 3 New World Champion in USACI, congrats guys.
