20.1's at it again

if thats the case lets switch in a fuse that your system will last 2 minutes on and still see how "fair" your playing field becomes?
So your saying put a fuse i can last 2 minutes on... up against people just barely holding the fuse for the burp..

or are you saying put my setup against people that can hold for 2 minutes?

Or have everyone run a fuse they can hold for 2 minutes?

confused, i think that was some sort of derogatory comment, but I can't tell what the hell it was saying //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

People need to realize comparing USAC to Meca is retarted, they are on different playing fields. Niether is better or worst than each other. The object of both is to make the most of what u have with certian limitations, wether those be Meca's fuse system or USAC's power rating system. The object is to win.

I dont expect myself to jump to Meca and be able to run your class successfully with what i have now, and i cant see you coming into USAC in my class with what your running and doin just as well as you did back in Meca.

most cars can hold a good burp for 2 min at least if they know what they are doing. i think the point is we all know people still use amps that exceed those fuse rattings yet they allow multi battery/higher voltage set ups. if you wanna knock it down run a smaller case battery (standard size at that) limit electrical on the car enough that a crown amp isnt advantagous rather than allowing people to manipulate ways inwhich not to blow fuses. i know you are in a different class now but 90% of the people who would compete dont because of loop holes in "basic street classes" you limit the power to the amp (v and c) its more of a level playing field why not limit the power and ground wire size to boot? lol would be pretty funny watching a crown amp trying to get a full burst of power from a standard excide honda battery with 1 run of 4 gauge wouldnt it?

where did that come from?

And I can say with a straight face that MECA has a better setup than USACI... how USACI is more fair, I have no idea.

The object is to make the most of what you have - and get everyone on teh same playing field.

Compared to racing... MECA allows people to choose a light car, but you can only have a puny motor... or you can get a big motor, but you have to have more weight, proportionately. Fuse x 10 + cone area... it works extremely well.

USACI just says... a v8 is a v8, no matter if one has a turbo and the other one doesnt. Like I said with the orion and 3 20.1's... similar power rating, but a drastic power difference... with no restriction on cone area to boot.

I'll say it, I prefer MECA by far - but what it comes down to mostly is what you have in your region.

And I'd get spanked in USACI... since I'd be stuck in such a high class... going off last years finals results i'd be ~7th in mod 901-1800 with the current setup. Or is that good? lol who knows... Not even setup for the kick anyway.

everyone has the ability to buy and run the same "turbo's" you choose to run...its how its put together that really matters..like in any sanction..

i dont care about meca, because they dont come down here..so, im not going to say that its better or worse than iasca, dbdrag, usaci etc...drop this shit

MECA>The world.

Although they told us they can't 'handle' a show of such size that we proposed...but whatever

How large are we talking here?

Abt electronics was the biggest show around us, and i think there were 30+ cars competing and a car show on the side too.

That's the biggest i've personally been to, i don't know how big the largest MECA show is.

But, if you are talking 50-60+ cars, that would be a LOOOOOOOOONG show. SPL, reality, driveby, SQ.....would take a LONG time to go through that many cars with so many formats.

Thats why you can have really, really big dB drag shows. Burp on the dash and go home. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I saw earlier in this thread, someone said the 20.1s weren't available to the public...

I swear to god I saw someone buy one a little over a week ago, and the way he bought it couldn't have been more public... so there goes that theory.

And to Chubby, the reason why you're seeing so many threads is because these amps are rediculous, and IA is a great company... I don't see anything wrong with that.

Well the USAC we had last season had around 100 cars IIRC.

They tried to have a MECA show here...but it was so slow it sucked...they took FOREVER to start the show and called up cars one by one...

Having lanes=teh win //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that driveby line, lmao oh man it was insane.

And we still got outta there earlier than we normally do at da grove, sheesh.

MECA > World - agreed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

dont know what they were thinking?

Thats not how the shows run as far as I've ever seen.. only exception was carl casper and OH state finals @ drag finals this year - they went from car to car with the meter.
