20,000+ watt Tahoe From MS coming soon

hey, if worst comes to worst and something does happen with the batteries being mounted upside down, the shop installed them that way. the shop should be insured so you shouldn't have to figure it out the hard way, the shop will. if the shop thinks it's okay to mount them that way, let them. if it's not, they'll have to fix whatever problems could possibly arise from the situation.
Or they could be smart about it and fix it before it becomes a problem.

x2... Im willing to bet the shop people would not be happy with having to rebuild the entire system all over again... If the worst case scenario comes up with and electrical fire:p:

hey dude
how is a 20000plus watts install when two d9's are each 3600 at 1 ohm????
Hey dude

he has to underate them on his site so they can go in certain competition catagories,so when i do competitions ill take my mids and high amps out an be in the 4000 and down class because mine put out 900@4ohms ...but anyways, mine have been tested 5600-5800 at 1 ohm at 14 volts, and ill be running mine at 15.5 or 15.8 so ill easily be seeing over 6k per

The batteries will charge differently and cant circulate something and blah blah blah... I mounted my 3 Deka G31's upside down last year and I'll tell you from experiance, DONT do it. Unless your that "ok" with blowing money and dont mind having to rebuild the whole *** end of your vehicle. Call RemyBattery and ask to speak direct with a tech.. Im not even sure what some of the words the guy said to describe how it will affect the battery. But I learned the "Hard way" and that was the worst mistake of my life, next to getting married.
First couple months are great, then WHAM!! Your fvcked.
so what happened exactly when WHAM your ****ed havppened?lol

Those D9's do 5K watts actually.
5k on a bad day lol

yeah at .5
so the OP means 20000 peak wannabe watts lol
im confused if you are with me or against me lol,but there definatly not wanna be watts,if you need proof, come on down and get you a demo and see if you still think there "wannabe watts". ..that is if you can still think right after the demo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

hopefully we will get it all worked out and not have to experience any bad stuff

actually it does 5k+ at 1 ohm fyi
oh a bad day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

No not .5 Hunterw did a test and got 3500w @2ohm.....
wwwoorrrddd

thats a hell of an underrated amp then.
nice insides too. i dont think ive seen this amps board before, did RD audio put some R and D into it and get their own proprietary board? lol
they do test all of there own amps because steve,at rd uses them and test them in real world conditions after there tested on the "machine" if you will.

prob gonna be around 12k watts for the subs and prob a good 2500-5k watts to comps and all the mids idk

accually its probably gonna be double that for the subs and half that for the mids

can one of yall tell me,from experience.. .what exactly "will happen"?

Youve probably only seen like 3 amps boards your whole life...

Did you ever see the pic of the guy, I can't remember the exact person with the truck but he had like 20 Kinetiks and didn't fuse them properly or did something wrong and it basically melted his entired rear of the truck to the frame rails from an electrical fire. The guy was a world champ but I cant remember exactly who it was. Im sure someone on here if not here then on Termpro can pin point this guy.

Also charging constantly at 15.5v your are one brave guy to be attempting that with the g31's.. I have an MLA but morning starts are around 15.5v and settle down to 14.7v within a couple minutes. The g31 says not to charge over 14.6v right on top of them, but 14.8~15v is about as high as I would possibly go. I own 6 of the exact same batteries as you and have seen some nasty things happen when I put one on my Associated bench top AGM charger and let it charge for 5 minutes at 15.2v.

the mla i have is the dual pro setup. .I can switch it from 14.8 to 15.5,everyday listening and cruizing i have it on 14.8 but at a comp ill bump it up a notch,i wouldnt ever ride around with them for a while charging at 15.5+,i know thats a bad idea. .anybody got a number to deka?

nevermind just got off the phone with deka. ..they said DO NOT mount them upside down BECAUSE after charging the electrolytes (i think thats the word he said) wont settle properly and cause premature failure/low voltage/issues.and also the gas venting valve will not function properly leading to premature failure and decreased performance/possible explosion of the battery..

Thank you

and tommyk90

you saved my arse and i stand CORRECTED .

Why didn't you thank me?? I brought it up first. LOL. Anyway, I have been running DEKA AGM bats for over a year and I like them a lot. I remember when I first got them, the DEKA rep told me to not mount them upside down. I'm glad you are going to get it taken care of before any damage is done. It's going to be a mean *** system when it is finished.

Ya no problem man.. I talked to a guy a while ago when I needed to mount my batteries on my frame rails and he said all that stuff that sounded scientific and all I got out of it was don't mount them upside down. Drew at remybattery is who I talked to.

and the suburban's arse as well apparently.
yep and its a hoe
